MEET BRIANA VAZQUEZ
OUR FOUNDER
Briana Vazquez is the founder of Widow's Peak, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting men and women who have experienced the loss of a spouse and are navigating the challenges of grief. Born and raised in North Carolina, Briana currently resides in Raleigh with her husband, Chris. Briana's tragic personal experience of losing her first husband to illness in 2012 inspired her vision to create the Widow's Peak organization. Being alone and lacking the necessary resources to start her life anew motivated her desire to help others.

Driven by her faith and the belief that she was given this organization as a ministry to help others, Briana's favorite scripture, Romans 8:28, guides her as she is determined to make the most out of an unfortunate situation: "And we know that all things work together for good for them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." Her ordeal led Briana to create a space where widows and widowers can find their needed support and resources.

Recognizing the importance of addressing mental health challenges, especially among women of color, Briana aims to tackle the stigma and create a safe space for open and honest conversations through podcasts and other platforms. She believes in providing a one-stop resource platform that caters to widows and widowers of all ages, offering guidance and information in an information-driven world. Briana's vision for Widow's Peak includes establishing partnerships with counselors, life coaches, financial consultants, attorneys, mental health organizations, and crisis prevention services to accomplish the organization's mission further. Widow's Peak stands as a beacon of hope, providing a supportive community and valuable resources to those navigating the challenging path of grief and loss.
